DJ Slugo
Cue the bass…Deep in the heart of the ghetto, on the mean streets of Chicago’s infamous Southside, a music pioneer was born… From the beginning, Thomas “DJ Slugo” Kendricks was influenced by his cousin, DJ Geno, a member of a local Chicago hot mix group, and other local icons such as the Hot Mix 5 (of Chicago radio). Slugo, with 20+ years in the game, over 20 albums in his pocket and over 50 CDs on the street, began a journey that lead him to become one of the original creators of a style of music commonly known as Ghetto House, more recently regarded as Juke. Ghetto House, an urban dance sound created by inner-city producers from raw walks of life and derived from Old School House, is steeped with nuances from ghetto-life traditions and descriptions of the hood through rhythm. It moves beyond the just being and dives right into the metaphysical, with its rhythmic, infectious energy exciting the inner spirit and making folk return to their Motherland dance roots. The magic struck Slugo at a high school dance where he asked the DJ if he could SPIN a couple of tracks.
Although his set only lasted a brief 15 minutes, it ignited a flame that burns brighter than ever today. From 1984-1987, Slugo honed his skills by observing the skills of his local heroes. PARTICIPATING in heated DJ battles won him acclaim as a technical expert on the wheels of steel. He released his first truly professional mix tape Ghetto Mix Part III (1992). This tape landed in the hands of Ray Barney, CEO of the Chicago-based Dance Mania, one of the largest dance music labels in the world. Barney and Slugo formalized an agreement resulting in a long stream of releases on the Dance Mania label and affording Slugo the freedom to form his own label, Subterranean Playhouse. During this same period, friend and fellow producer Paul Johnson introduced Slugo to a southern promoter, which culminated his professional merge into the rave scene. His unheard of Ghetto style of mixing quickly made him a favorite to tens of thousands of partygoers and promoters alike. The release of the popular Cardboard Booty mix CD, called “the most influential ghetto house CD ever made” by London’s Underbeat Magazine, who also went on to call DJ Slugo, “the Ghetto-father of the American dance floor.” As his fame spread, releases with other national labels, such as Underground Construction, Dance Mania, GTI Records, Serotonin Records, Data Bass, CWAL Mob Recordings, Wide Records and Crosstalk International, Inc., as well as his follow up album, The Ghetto Don, flew off the shelves. Taking his career to the next level, Slugo signed with the 1 electronic music booking agency in the United States, Teknomafia. With Teknomafia’s 10-year strong foothold on the nationwide rave, club & concert market as well as national distribution for his future releases, the only question that remained was where to begin. Slugo later said that this proved to be one of the best decisions made for his career. After Teknomafia shut their doors and in order to progress into mainstream music, DJ Slugo was the only electronic artist kept on the roster. 2002 saw Slugo returning to his roots with new projects, Where the Rats and Godzilla. Slugo calls these releases without a doubt, some of his best work. They have also without a doubt, exceeded the sales of nearly every other release he has done to this date and which lead to his wildly successful “Godzilla” track becoming a worldwide phenomenon. After a yearlong respite to rethink his career path, Slugo is back in the game and taking the world by storm. Recent affiliations with England’s Wide Adventure and Crosstalk International, Inc. promise many great things to come. The saga CONTINUES…

Sandra Collins
Outta California, US, Sandra Collins’ in-demand DJing has kept her constantly globetrotting— everywhere from New Zealand to Romania to Mexico. What began as a humble interest morphed into serious business in the 90’s, when Sandra Collins emerged as one of the Los Angeles rave scene’s major players. Sandra is now, without question, one of the most recognized and beloved DJs in the business. With her incessant worldwide touring, massive press coverage and hundreds of thousands of albums sold, Sandra has solidified her place as one of the most well-known female DJs in the world. The DanceStar Awards awarded her the 2003 Best DJ award over the likes of Louie Devito, Deep Dish and Bad Boy Bill among others.
This award is part of a long list of stellar career achievements, which include URB Magazine’s 1999 “Best Female Artist,” an honor she shared with Lauryn Hill. She also hosted the International Dance Music Awards in 2006 with Daniel Glass. Whenever Sandra’s on the decks, you know you’re in for an unforgettable evening. She held a massively popular residency at legendary NYC club Twilo alongside Sasha & Digweed and Paul Van Dyk. Her memorable sets, such as the six-hour set following Moby in front of 80,000 fans at the ’99 Woodstock Festival, as well as Coachella in 2002 and 2008, are evidence of her ability to convert those new to the scene into true electronic music fans. In 2005, Sandra created an audio-visual collaboration with VJ Vello Virkhaus called “Sv2 Presents: Interference.” This groundbreaking technical show integrated Sandra’s mixing with over a hundred videos created by her and Virkhaus. The cutting-edge show toured for 3 years, garnering much praise, a DJ Times cover and sponsorship from companies like Pioneer and Edirol. Sandra’s popularity and reputation for bringing out the deeply emotional side of house and techno has earned her a worldwide following. A tireless experimenter who is always in search of new sounds and platforms for her music, Sandra is in a class of her own, whether she’s performing at a music festival, a 10,000-person super club, or an intimate gallery space. She has become a true ambassador for American electronic music.

A trained musician since age six, music has been the forefront and paved the path of her journey. Starting with violin, and followed by percussion and some piano, she benefited from ongoing training and exposure throughout her school aged years, which fueled both her creativity and love for all types of music. Watching family members at a young age spin in the club scene, starting off on technics and watching how they created the energy of the dance floor, all in the while thinking, “Yes, I want to do that!”
While the demands of schooling, career, and family took over as it tends to do, music remained a priority focus as she kept close watch over the evolution of her favorite genres, in particular house music. When the time was right, she came back out of background and started to play the music that made her fall in love with the genre. Using music in her daily life with her students she changed the way she thought about and interacted with genres of house music. Using and teaching the soul of house to her special needs students has been a priority and matching music with choreography has been another manifestation of creativity. “The most beautiful sight to watch is my daughter dancing to what we created….beauty.”
Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, she’s played Chicago’s clubs including Primary Night Club (Poolhouse), Estate, Fedora Lounge, SC, and several radio shows such as Strictly Dance Radio and Divas Behind the Decks.
Her sound is deep, smooth, and sometimes dark and complex, with soulfulness infused. Depending on her mood, the energy of the dance floor as well as her decision to play the electric violin with her sets shapes and molds the vibe of the room.
“Appreciation of classics is what molds the future of music. Djing is more than playing and mixing music. It's what moves your soul. That is what house does for me. Makes my soul happy. Just me doing what I love! Thanks to family for teaching me when I was young to be able to have you all dancing today...well that's all I ask...sit back, enjoy and DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY!!!!!! What you hear is what I feel in that given moment :)”

Angel Linde
Resident DJ epitomizes the future sound of Pacha. Diverse, Deep and Groovy. Angel has DJed in Pacha Ibiza for the past 14 years, which explains his magical vibe and his reluctance to play abroad. He has smashed the floor in every Ibiza nightclub including the famous trio of Amnesia, Space and Pacha. The cherry on top thus far has to be his residency at Pacha Ibiza and decision to join the Pacha Booking Agency. To go through the list of DJs he has played alongside would be futile, especially if you play daily in a club that has summer residents such as Willie Graff,Jose De Divina,Luciano,Reboot,Sander Kleinenberg,Solomun,John Digweed,Guy Gerber,DJ Sneak,Morillo etc. His uncanny ability to read the demands of the dance floor demonstrates his teeming experience and understanding.
From gut wrenching House in the main room to deep dirty techno in the backroom, Angel gradually builds a set, working his grooves whilst exposing a heaving audience to diverse styles of music. In 2002 Angel mixed the successful Pacha Ibiza Winter Sessions CD and in 2003 he mixed the Ibiza Resident DJ sessions. He has played in famous clubs around the world, Creamfields in Liverpool and almost every Pacha on the globe. Here is a DJ that delivers, no matter what the style or the crowd. An experienced and dedicated multi-styled resident, in one of the best nightclubs in the world, which has finally decided to take that groove across the globe.

Alex Kislov
With an innate sense of creativity flowing through his veins that can only stem from his firmly
planted musical roots, Alex Kislov is paving his own road in the EDM streets. Moving to the US
from Israel at the age of 10, Kislov quickly transitioned to life in the new country. His mother and
sister's interest in Electronic music influenced his first musical experience at the early age of seven and eventually lead the way to his calling as an Electronic music artist. Little did he know at that moment that he would go on to become one of Chicago's finest.
“I remember when I was 16 when I'd go every day to the bowling alley by my house to play on their
turntables. That's when I fell in love. I played every minute that I could. I soaked up as much
knowledge and ability to the point where I could walk up to a pair of CD-J's and spin blindfolded,”
says Kislov.
This same passion drove him to enter his first ever DJ competition, The Jammin' on the Wolf festival
mix competition where he took first place and headlined alongside EOTO and Break Science. Later,
Kislov would go on to perform at some of Chicago's most elite music venues including Soldier Field
for Spring Awakening, North Coast Music Festival, Wavefront Music Festival, the Aragon
Entertainment Center, Concord Music Hall, and Congress Theater where he played a remarkable set
on New Years Eve for Porter Robinson and friends. Kislov has also toured throughout the local
Chicago nightclub circuit including The Mid, Castle, Sound-bar, and Primary playing alongside
artists such as David Guetta, Sander van Doorn, Marcus Schossow, Tommy Trash, PANTy RaiD, Super8
& Tab, Chuckie, Mat Zo, Audien, and 3LAU to name a few.
He knows it’s not all about the fame and glamor as Kislov remains one of the most level-headed,
passionate, and entertaining young artists in the scene today. More often than not he can be found
in the studio working on productions tirelessly. His unique monthly podcast entitled All About The
Music, which showcases everything EDM, features up-and-coming local artists and became the
impetus for his first Midwest tour in 2014. His unique and uplifting mixing style coupled with his
energetic stage performance keeps him at the frontline of the EDM scene.

An accomplished producer, in-demand remixer and versatile performer, he is fast transitioning from Chicagos’ best-kept secret to one of Chicagos' Techno up-coming leading lights, on a par with genre-defying luminaries such as the Advent, Drumcell, Mattias Fridell & Audio Injection/Truncate.
Despite enjoying worldwide notoriety through his production and on deck performances, Mark hasn’t forgotten his influenced home grown roots.
Co-founding FORMAT Recordings in 2013 with another Chicago rising Techno DJ/Producer Bucky Fargo, the label will showcase international & local talents, ranging from the likes of Ricardo Garduno, Komprezzor, Jeff Derringer, Submerge, Therblig and many more, in a move to further raising the profile of Chicagos' Techno scene in North America and abroad.

DJ Jame$ Dean
My goal is to make people happy through music & send out positive vibes each time I play. House Music is my passion, it has changed my life in such a beautiful way that only the music can help explain. I'm only 26 & I want to be one of the people who hold it down for my generation. Many fellow DJ's my age don't spin the style of tracks that I like to play out and I feel it is necessary that I do my part and help contribute back to it's community as much as I possibly can.
I have nothing but love for everybody that is doing their part in keeping the spirit of House Music alive! I'm thankful to live in Chicago where the culture is so rich, only here can you hear the worlds best DJ's on any given night, and that's an amazing attribute about this city! Some days I play darker tracks and other days I enjoy playing more happy songs, it all depends on the atmosphere. I always play off of pure emotions and I can never go into a place knowing what I'm going to play. I have to read the people and take them where they wanna go.
Here is a short list of some of my favorite DJ's that I have been fortunate enough to open for or been in the same line up as: Gene Farris, CZR, Mel Hammond, Ron Carrol, Gene Hunt, the "Chosen Few" DJ's Scott Smokin Silz, Jamie 3:26, DJ Funk, John Simmons, Jevon Jackson, & DJ Heather.

Born in Mexico and raised in Chicago, Jes has been exposed to the Chicago music culture since the early 80’s. It was very early on when Jes realized his passion for music and began working on his musical career. Growing up on the West side of Chicago, Jes saw his peers choosing a lifestyle of gangs and guns with daily activity of violence. It was then that Jes decided to lead a life of musical expression and lift himself to a higher state of being. Embracing his negative childhood exposure, Jes used that negative to propel his dreams and to fuel his drive to succeed. Twenty five years later, Jes is still continuing his path of musical creativity and has evolved into a professional Dj, Producer, and Business owner. His passion for music still burns bright within. The Chicago underground has been moved by DJ Jes for over twenty Five years and he has emerged as a leading Dj, Producer, and Remixer. Jes is an original house pioneer that played original house music and techno tax at Chicago’s infamous “The Warehouse"; and he continues to be an integral part of the underground electronic scene. Jes has the technical skills and musical talent to give us all the soulful energy that only music can communicate. While his style can be varied, his quality is never compromised. The recent venture of Jes's label, fresca recordings, with its Twentieth release has received well deserved media and industry attention. Jes continues to showcase and collaborate with other talented producers world wide. Jes keeps himself and fresca recordings involved in the cultural arts in Chicago.Since the project's inception, Jes has been an integral part of the musical aspects of these events bringing art and music together to create unique environments to propel the artistic aspect of our digital culture.

A little about me...
I've been DJing since 1990. Possibly even earlier if you count my poser days LOL
Two mismatch fleamarket turntables with no pitch & a radio shack mixer.
My amp was a boombox with an aux-in.

Hello! My name is Vinny DePola. I am a 35 year old electrical technician/engineer. I live in the quiet town of Woodstock IL with my fiance and my three beautiful daughters. When I'm not working 12 hour shifts at the manufacturing plant or spending quality time with my family, I am working on EDM in my basement.
I have been DJing since the age of 18, minus the 11 year break I took after finding out I was going to be a father for the first time at the age of 21. I've gotten back into DJing about two years ago out of the simple fact that I knew I was missing something in my life for a long time that could make me smile no matter what was happening in my life.
